The Pakistan Army has eliminated at least 25 terrorists as part of an anti-terrorism campaign in the Tirah Valley in Khyber Agency, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) of the Islamic Republic's armed forces stated on Tuesday evening. 

According to the ISPR, starting on August 20, 2024, the Pakistani military carried out a series of operations to sweep the area clean of extremists. Their target was militants of the banned Fitna al-Khawarij (formerly known as Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan, or the Taliban Movement of Pakistan, renamed by a government decree in late July 2024) and its affiliated groups Lashkar-e-Islam and Jamaat-ul-Ahrar. During the clashes, 25 terrorists were eliminated and 11 were injured. According to ISPR, four servicemen were killed during the counter-terrorist operation.
