The Russian FSB department for the city of Moscow and the Moscow region, in cooperation with the Russian FSB department for the Yaroslavl region, put an end to the activity of an adherent of radical religious views who was involved in financing an foreign terrorist organization prohibited in the Russian Federation, the press service reported.

According to the security services, the suspect transferred funds to a person against whom a criminal case has been opened under two terrorism-related articles of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation: Assistance to Terrorist Activity (Article 205.1) and Organization of the Activities of a Terrorist Organization and Participation in it (Article 205.5 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). He was taken into custody.
