Taliban special forces arrest ISIS terrorists who carried out explosions in Kabul and Bamiyan

Special forces of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA, as the Taliban themselves call it) have arrested ISIS terrorists who carried out attacks in Kabul and Bamiyan. This was stated by the official spokesman of the IEA Zabihullah Mujahid, Ariana News reports.

Mujahid said that among those arrested was a citizen of Tajikistan who was planning to carry out the attack as a suicide bomber. Special forces found on him a vest packed with explosives, two machine guns and ammunition. ISIS terrorists were also responsible for an attack on employees of the IEA's Directorate of Compliance and Oversight of Orders and Decrees earlier this month, several attacks in Kabul and an attack on foreign tourists in Bamiyan.

An investigation has shown that the attacker of the Directorate of Compliance and Oversight entered Afghanistan fr om an ISIS-Khorasan Province (ISKP) training camp located in Mastung (Baluchistan, Pakistan).

“Follow-up operations in Kabul and Faryab resulted in the elimination of two terrorists, and several others were taken into custody,” Mujahid said.

He added that the remaining ISKP leaders and militants have now “moved to Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, wh ere they have established new operational bases and training camps.” They continue to launch attacks both in Afghanistan and elsewhere from there.
