A migrant from Tajikistan, who was wanted in his home country for involvement in terrorist activities, was detained in St. Petersburg. This was reported by the "Agency of Journalistic Investigations".

“The 37-year-old man has been put on the interstate wanted list. He is accused of mercenarism," the publication says. It was specified that he was involved in ISIS terrorist organization.

According to the investigation, he was recruiting residents of the Khatlon region of Tajikistan to participate in military operations in Syria. The man was arrested in absentia in his home country.
