Terrorist attack on Turkish Aerospace headquarters near Ankara

At least five people were killed and 22 injured in an attack on the headquarters of Turkish aerospace company Turkish Aerospace (TUSAŞ) in the Ankara region, authorities said.

"The death toll in the attack has risen to five, while the total number of wounded is 22; three of them have been discharged from hospital," Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya said on TV.

He said the Kurdistan Workers' Party, which is banned in the country, was most likely involved in the attack.

Yerlikaya had previously said that two attackers, a man and a woman, were killed.

He promised to share more information and evidence on Wednesday evening after authorities identify the attackers.

Turkish media reported that the attackers arrived at the enterprise during a security shift change. They detonated an explosive device, and then a shootout started.
