Afghan citizen found guilty of plotting terrorist attack in Baku

A Baku court sentenced Afghan citizen Favzan Musa Khan to 10 years of imprisonment after it found him guilty of planning an explosion in the embassy building.

As the "Caucasian Knot" wrote, on July 10, 2023, the State Security Service of Azerbaijan reported the arrest of Afghan citizen Favzan Musa Khan, born in 1990. According to the security agency, he was planning a terrorist attack in Azerbaijan near the embassy of one of the countries.

The Baku Court of Grave Crimes sentenced Favzan Musa Khan to 10 years in prison in a high-security correctional facility, APA reports today.

The court concluded that Favzan Musa Khan arrived in Azerbaijan with the intention of committing a terrorist attack during his stay in Baku. He conducted surveillance near the embassy building of one of the countries, established contacts with other people to involve them in the terrorist attack and to use their financial assistance in acquiring weapons and explosives, haqqin.az writes today.
