Terrorist attack in Crocus Hall: four new defendants in the case
There are four new defendants in the criminal case on the terrorist attack in Crocus City Hall, which left 145 people dead. All of them are residents of Ingushetia. Two of them have been arrested, and two more have been put on the wanted list. Kommersant newspaper reported this on November 1.
According to the media, these people are natives of Surkhakhi and their names are Khusein Medov, Dzhabrail Aushev and Khavazh-Bagaudin Aliyev, accompanied by Batyr Kulayev from Ekazhevo.
They are accused under the articles on “illegal trafficking of weapons and ammunition committed by a group by prior agreement” and “illegal trafficking of explosive devices and explosives committed by a group.”
According to investigators, Medov converted four blank-firing Kalashnikov assault rifles into combat ones, Kulaev obtained magazines and cartridges for them, Aushev and Aliyev delivered the weapons and ammunition to caches near the villages of Ekazhevo and Surkhakhi in Ingushetia, and then the equipment was transferred to Moscow.
Investigators believe that most of the magazines were loaded before being sent, the defendants in the case from Ingushetia knew about the upcoming massacre, and they were paid over 1 million rubles (more than 9,400 euros) for the weapons and ammunition.
Medov and Aushev were detained. Aliyev and Kulaev have been placed on the wanted list.
