The situation in Syria on the evening of December 10

Al Hadath Arabic news channel reports that the new Syrian leadership ordered militants to leave major cities and make room for police and new security forces.

It is planned to form new police units fr om militants of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, an Islamist terrorist group that began killing non-believers in Syria on December 10.

Sources on Telegram reported that HTS and the Syrian National Army (SNA) militants began killing and looting in various parts of Syria. According to the Telegram channel Global Intel Watch, ethnic cleansing has begun in Syria.

The Telegram channel Middle East Spectator published a video of HTS militants in an unnamed village in Homs province. “Praise be to Allah, the commandos of Syria! This Nuseiri (Alawite) village has been cleared,” the man in the video says in Arabic.

The Alawites are a Syrian ethnoreligious minority to which Bashar al-Assad’s clan belongs. Their religious beliefs differ from the Sunni faith of HTS and its allied groups, and as a result, they have been subjected to frequent ethnic cleansing throughout Syrian history.

In another video, HTS militants shoot two men, presumably on the streets of Homs. Another video of a shooting takes place in Latakia province, at the al-Rabiyya farm, with the militants also shouting that they are shooting Nuseiri (Alawites).

Meanwhile, SNA militants are active in northeastern Syria, wh ere they are storming the Kurdish city of Manbij. A video has appeared on Telegram showing the murder of two seriously wounded soldiers who were being treated in a hospital in Manbij - Turkish-speaking militants shot them point-blank in their hospital beds. Ethnic cleansing has also reportedly begun in Hama province.
