ISIS supporters planned terrorist attacks in Germany

ISIS supporters preparing terrorist attacks have been detained in Germany, BILD reports.

Law enforcement officers have detained three Islamic State supporters in Hesse and Baden-Württemberg. This was reported today by the criminal investigation departments of the two federal states and the Karlsruhe Public Prosecutor's office.

The detainees are accused of preparing "an act of violence that threatens the state." The suspects include two brothers, aged 15 and 20, citizens of Lebanon, and a 22-year-old native of Turkey.

The brothers were detained on December 8 in Mannheim (Baden-Württemberg), and the Turkish citizen was detained in Hochtaunuskreis (Hesse). During the searches, assault rifles and ammunition were seized.

"A detailed investigation confirmed that the detainees were preparing the attack, and were guided by a radical religious ideology and sympathies for ISIS terrorist organization," the prosecutor's office reported.

Earlier "Cursor" wrote that a student suspected of having ties to ISIS was arrested in Be'er Sheva. He turned out to be Muhammad Amash, who, according to Israeli security forces, swore allegiance to ISIS and was active on social media, including Instagram.
