A student of Peoples' Friendship University of Russia (RUDN) was detained in Moscow in connection with a case of recruiting supporters of a terrorist organization, TASS reports.

“Arbi Umarovich Dukaev, a citizen of the Russian Federation, with a higher education, a second-year student at the Patrice Lumumba RUDN University, unemployed, and with no previous convictions, was detained,” TASS reports, citing law enforcement agencies.

The detainee was charged under Part 1.1 of Article 205.1 of the Criminal Code—incitement, recruitment, or involvement of a person in committing a terrorist attack, as well as financing terrorism.
