In pursuance of the orders of the Commander-in-Chief of the Iraqi Armed Forces to strengthen intelligence work and eliminate terrorism and its sources, the Military Intelligence Directorate carried out a number of operations.

As reported by Mehr, citing the department, seven ISIS terrorists wanted by the Iraqi judicial authorities were arrested as a result of the operations.

"One of the ISIS militants was the main carrier of personnel, weapons, equipment and logistics," the report says, adding that the terrorists were handed over to the relevant authorities.
