Terrorist supporter sentenced to 12 years in prison in Karelia
A court in Karelia has found a foreign citizen guilty in a case of aiding terrorism, the press service of the FSB of Russia for the republic reported.
The 24-year-old youth was charged under Part 3 of Article 30 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (attempted crime), Part 1.1 of Article 205.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (aiding terrorist activity), the press service of the UFSB of Russia for Karelia clarified to Respublika.
“The Central District Military Court sentenced him to 12 years of imprisonment,” the report said.
It was established that the foreigner was raising funds for a foreign terrorist organization. He also recruited a woman, native of the Central Asian region, to implement further plans to aid terrorism.
