Pakistan Army eliminates 13 terrorists in northwest Pakistan

The Pakistan Army has eliminated at least 13 militants in three counter-terrorism operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

This was reported by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) department of the armed forces of the Islamic Republic, TASS writes.

According to the statement, the Pakistani military carried out a series of operations to clear the districts of Bannu, North Waziristan and South Waziristan from the presence of extremists on the night of December 26, 2024. Their target was militants of the Fitna al-Khawarij, which is banned in the country (previously known as Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan, or the Taliban Movement of Pakistan, renamed in late July 2024 by a decree of the government of the Islamic Republic). During the clashes, 13 terrorists were killed, and 16 were injured. According to the ISPR, one serviceman was killed during the operation.
