Two terrorist propagandists convicted in Kazakhstan
The trials of two citizens detained by the National Security Committee for promoting terrorism completed in Kazakhstan. Both were found guilty and received long prison terms.
A resident of Taraz spread calls to participate in military operations abroad and planned to join terrorists. The court found him guilty of promoting terrorism and inciting religious hatred, sentencing him to 7 years in prison.
A resident of Almaty, previously convicted of criminal offenses, promoted radical ideology on the Internet. He was also charged with illegal drug trafficking. The court sentenced him to seven years and one month in prison.
In 2024, 84 people were convicted of terrorist and extremist activity in Kazakhstan.
