The Taliban movement has rejected US President Donald Trump's call to return US weapons valued at $7 billion, Bloomberg reported, citing sources.

According to the news agency, members of the movement believe that the US should not just leave the weapons they captured, but provide more modern means to fight the Islamic State terrorist organization.

At a rally on January 19, Donald Trump said he would stop all financial aid to Afghanistan if the Taliban did not return the American weapons and equipment. This equipment was captured in 2021, when US troops left Afghanistan after more than 20 years of presence.
