Officers of the State Committee for National Security (SCNS) of Kyrgystan detained a 28-year-old citizen of Uzbekistan in the Osh region of Kyrgyzstan. She is suspected of producing and distributing extremist materials via social media, a Podrobno.uz correspondent reports.

According to the investigation, the detainee actively published extremist and terrorist content on Instagram and TikTok. In particular, she was advertising and selling women's religious headdress called “niqab” (burka), accompanying the videos with jihadist chants. An examination confirmed that the published materials were related to Islamic State foreign terrorist organization.

A case has been opened against the detainee under the article "Production and distribution of extremist materials" of the Criminal Code of Kyrgyzstan.
