Terrorist attack in Tel Aviv: migrant with a knife attacks people
The attack took place on the evening of January 21. First, an armed man attacked bar patrons, then wounded two more men on the street, and after that he was shot. The victims received injuries of varying severity. The police called the incident a terrorist attack, reports the Israeli publication Newsru.
The eliminated terrorist was found to have a US permanent resident ID. The document was issued in the name of 29-year-old Kaddi Abdelaziz, a native of Morocco. The man was issued the American green card, which is distributed to ensure ethnic diversity among immigrants to the United States.
Interior Minister Moshe Arbel said that border guards tried to prevent the terrorist from entering Israel. They noticed a suspicious passenger and handed him over to security officers, but those allowed him to enter the country. Moshe Arbel called for an investigation to prevent similar situations from happening in the future.
The previous terrorist attack in Tel Aviv occurred on January 18. A terrorist armed with a knife tried to attack passers-by. One person was wounded and taken to hospital in a moderately severe condition.
