A court In the Altai Territory sentenced a foreigner to eight years in prison for financing terrorism. As the press service of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Altai Territory reported on January 22, he transferred 10 thousand rubles to a terrorist organization.

The 19-year-old foreigner came to Russia in 2023 and got a job as a laborer in a construction company. In March 2024, he began communicating via a messenger with his compatriot, a supporter of a foreign terrorist organization. After that, the young man decided to support the banned movement financially and transferred 10 thousand rubles for its needs.

The crime was uncovered by operatives of the FSB Directorate for the Altai Territory.

Back in October 2024, law enforcement officers detained a 19-year-old citizen of Tajikistan who transferred 10 thousand rubles to a terrorist organization. During the investigation, the defendant was taken into custody. It was indicated that the foreigner sent the funds to ISIS.
