The new Syrian authorities have announced the dissolution of all security agencies and the beginning of the creation of a new structure. This was reported by the Reuters agency.

In addition, the new authorities announced the dissolution of the Syrian parliament. It also became known that the head of the country's administration, Ahmed al-Sharaa, became the new president for the transitional period.

Before this, the new Syrian authorities asked Russia to extradite former President Bashar al-Assad to them. They also asked for compensation "to restore trust" during the first visit of a Russian delegation since the fall of the Assad regime.
