A car bomb exploded in Syria, killing twenty people and injuring fifteen, the Directorate 4 Telegram channel reports.

The incident occurred on the outskirts of the city of Manbij. Unknown persons detonated an IED in the way of a truck transporting farm workers. No one has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.

The pro-Turkish groups that control the area believe that the Syrian Democratic Forces were involved in the explosion. The group's resources stated that they managed to detain a member of the Arab-Kurdish forces who had carried out a similar attack the day before in the center of Manbij, killing four people. The suspect was recorded by surveillance cameras, which showed him parking a car loaded with explosives at the site of the future tragedy.

This is a sixth such attack since the beginning of the year in the areas that were captured by pro-Turkish militants after the overthrow of Bashar al-Assad.
