The Central District Military Court sentenced a resident of the Chelyabinsk Region to five years in prison for publicly justifying terrorism. This was reported by the regional UFSB of Russia.

"A court had found a resident of the Chelyabinsk Region, born in 1988, guilty under Part 2 of Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (public calls to commit terrorist activity, carried out using information and telecommunications networks). He was sentenced to imprisonment for five years and six months in a general regime penal colony," the department's press service told journalists.

In addition, the court deprived the convict of the right to engage in activities related to website administration for two years.

Earlier, special service employees established that this supporter of radical views justified the practice of terrorist activity. To this extent, he posted relevant materials in the public domain.
