ASTANA RESIDENT SENTENCED TO 15 YEARS IN PRISON FOR PLANNING A TERRORIST ATTACK

The Saryarkinsky District Court of Astana sentenced a resident of the capital to 15 years in prison for planning a terrorist attack and promoting terrorism. This was reported by the press service of the National Security Committee of Kazakhstan.

“The court proved the defendants’ guilt in preparing for a terrorist attack, recruiting and training persons to organize terrorist activities, as well as promoting terrorism, forcible seizure and holding power, and changing the constitutional order of the Republic of Kazakhstan,” the statement says.
