German police prevent attack on school in Hagen

In the German city of Hagen, police prevented an armed attack in a school.

According to law enforcement, EADaily reports, an unknown teenager (approximately 16 to 18 years old) intended to enter the school building with a weapon. According to preliminary information, the attacker's target could have been one of the students at the Liselotte Funke School, who is currently safe.

"She is under our protection, investigators are working with her," a police representative said.

As a result, the territory of the educational institution was cordoned off by special forces, and students were evacuated. The search for the suspect is currently underway - the police are combing the city center with the support of special forces and helicopters. So far, law enforcement officials have not disclosed the identity of the wanted person or what kind of weapon he may have.
