The Preparatory Committee for the National Dialogue in Syria has decided to hold the first session of the conference on this topic on February 25. The members of the organizing committee announced this at a press conference in Damascus.

“This conference is the first step on a long national path that requires constant collective efforts to form a new national Syrian identity,” the organizing committee said.

The organizing committee reported that in preparation for the event, “more than 30 meetings were held in all governorates to ensure the representation of various segments of Syrian society.” “The conference will be practical in nature, as its activities will involve holding specialized workshops on the issues that the committee has identified during its meetings with various groups of society,” the committee explained. These workshops are expected to be attended by experts, specialists and various stakeholders.
