Three explosive devices were thrown inside the Russian Consulate General in Marseille on Monday morning. Two of them went off, and another is currently being examined by sappers. Fortunately, the incident did not cause casualties or destruction, TASS reports.

Russian diplomats in Marseille are cooperating with local authorities and law enforcement agencies to clarify the circumstances of the incident.

As reported by the Vzglyad newspaper, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova reported that the explosions on the territory of the Russian Consulate General in Marseille have all the hallmarks of a terrorist attack and stressed that the incident is of serious concern.
