Hurras ad-Din coordinator eliminated in Syria

The US Central Command reported on X social media that they carried out an airstrike in Syria, eliminating Waseem Tahsin Bayrakdar, a high-ranking coordinator of the leadership of the Hurras al-Din group, which has ties to Al-Qaeda terrorist organization.

Hurras al-Din is one of the branches of Al-Qaeda terrorist organization which operates in Syria, promoting radical Islamist ideology. According to the US, the group is actively involved in hostilities, threatening stability and security in the region.
