Terrorist attack in eastern France: Algerian native stabbed several people
A man with a knife attacked people in the city of Mulhouse (Haut-Rhin) in eastern France on February 22. One person was killed and more people were wounded.
A 37-year-old man, who is listed in the FSPRT database, where law enforcement officials add suspects of terrorist radicalization, was detained on suspicion of the attack, the prosecutor said.
According to an AFP source in the trade union circles, the detainee is a native of Algeria who was placed under house arrest. He was ordered to leave France. According to the anti-terrorist prosecutor's office, the suspect shouted "Allahu Akbar" during the attack.
