Three defendants in the Crocus attack case planned to commit a terrorist attack in Dagestan

Three defendants in the criminal case on the terrorist attack at the Crocus City concert hall were planning another terrorist attack on the embankment of the city of Kaspiysk in Dagestan using a homemade explosive device, TASS reports, citing materials from the criminal case that it has reviewed.

"In the period from November 2023 to March 16, 2024, [the defendants] illegally acquired, transported and stored at least two Kalashnikov assault rifles, a Makarov pistol and ammunition for them. In the period from March 24 to 27, 2024 [after the terrorist attack at Crocus] U. Soliev, Z. Ismoilov and Sh. Gadoev made a homemade explosive device, which they planned to use to commit a terrorist act on the embankment of the city of Kaspiysk in the Republic of Dagestan," the documents say.

It was previously reported that these three defendants, as well as two citizens of Tajikistan, M. Soliev and H. Khamidov, are accused of providing four perpetrators of the terrorist attack with firearms. The defendants were detained during a special operation in Kaspiysk and other regions of Dagestan on March 31, 2024.
