Orenburg resident convicted of financing terrorism

A 45-year-old resident of Orenburg was sentenced to 12 years in prison for transferring money to a person who participated in military operations as part of a terrorist organization. In 2022, he several times transferred money to a card of a fighter who was located in one of the Middle Eastern countries.

In addition, the man published a post on social media justifying terrorism and supporting its narratives. Two criminal cases were opened against the Orenburg resident based on these facts, and the court, having considered the appeal, left the sentence unchanged.
