Ten terrorists were killed in an intelligence-based operation conducted by Pakistani security forces in the northwestern province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Xinhua reported citing a statement by the army.

The operation was launched based on reports of militants' presence in the province's Khyber district, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Pakistan Army's media wing, said in a statement.

According to the statement, security personnel effectively targeted the hideout and eliminated 10 militants.
