Bild: Islamic State creates new website calling for terrorist attacks in Europe

Islamic State terrorist group has allegedly created a new website in German language, calling for terrorist attacks in several cities in Germany, Austria and Belgium. This was reported by Bild newspaper, TASS reports.

The website contains a picture of a view through the windshield from the driver's seat of a car at passers-by on the street. There are gun sights drawn on the faces of people walking along the streets, a call to "run over" people is written on the on-board computer and the cities are listed: Berlin, Munich, Frankfurt am Main, Vienna, Brussels, Antwerp and Salzburg.

As the newspaper writes, the security agencies of Germany, Austria and Belgium take the propaganda materials of the group seriously, since Islamist terrorist attacks have repeatedly occurred in these three countries, and law enforcement officers regularly prevent such attacks.

An unnamed source in the security service of one of the countries mentioned told the magazine that IS calls for terrorist attacks are currently "spreading very quickly among Islamists", a process that intensified after the attack by supporters of the radical Palestinian movement Hamas on Israeli territory in October 2023. "IS is pursuing a dangerous strategy, they incite so-called “lone wolves” who unexpectedly radicalize themselves and carry out attacks. This strategy, as we feared, is increasingly efficient," the newspaper's source said, recalling a series of attacks that have taken place in Germany and Austria in recent months.

According to the newspaper, German security services are now particularly concerned, since traditional street carnivals are coming up in a number of cities in the country. The agency's source noted that both large and smaller carnival processions are an attractive target for potential terrorists, adding that despite the threat, "we must not let intimidate ourselves."
