Regional FSB officers detained a local resident of the Russian city of Bryansk on suspicion of publicly justifying terrorism. His illegal activity has been interrupted, the agency's press service reported.

The Bryansk resident posted comments in the Telegram messenger expressing support and approval of the terrorist activities of Aslan Maskhadov, who was eliminated in 2005. In his messages, the detainee also tried to compromise the FSB officers of Russia.

A criminal case has been opened against the Bryansk resident for public calls to commit terrorist activities (Part 2 of Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code of Russia). The investigation is ongoing.
