A 40-year-old citizen of one of the Central Asian republics was detained in the Vladimir region. He is suspected of publicly calling for terrorism.

According to the investigation, in December 2024, the defendant published personal statements in a public chat of Telegram foreign messenger justifying the activities of one of the foreign terrorist organizations, designated as such by the decision of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation, with its activities prohibited in Russia.

In January of this year, based on the results of operational-search activities of the FSB, a criminal case was opened against this citizen. The perpetrator was detained. He is currently in custody.
