The security forces of the new Syrian administration have clashed with armed units of the ISIS terrorist group in the city of Al-Sanamein in Daraa governorate, and 60 militants have been detained, the Syrian newspaper Al-Watan reports, citing the General Security Directorate of Daraa.

According to the General Security Directorate, clashes between armed groups place on Tuesday in the city of As-Sanamein in northern Daraa, resulting in the death and injury of several militants on both sides, with civilians injured as well. The General Security Forces present in the city intervened and set up several checkpoints, one of which was attacked, resulting in the injury of one of the security forces.

On Wednesday morning, reinforcements arrived in Al-Sanamein to participate in raids on the locations of armed groups associated with ISIS where violent clashes took place and lasted for several hours.
