Accomplice of terrorists eliminated during counter-terrorist operation detained in Dagestan
Law enforcement officers have detained an accomplice of four members of a terrorist organization who were eliminated during a counter-terrorist operation in Dagestan in early March. This was reported by TASS with reference to the Telegram channel of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the region.
The Investigative Committee reported that a criminal case had been initiated on the grounds of crimes under Part 1 of Article 205.4 (Creation and Managment of a Terrorist Organization) and Part 2 of Article 205.4 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Participation in a Terrorist Organization). A range of investigative actions are being carried out in the case.
According to investigators, in June 2024, two residents of Dagestan created a terrorist organization. "Three more residents of the republic joined the abovementioned terrorist organization no later than November 2024," the report says.
The counter-terrorism operation regime was declared in the village of Semender in the Kirovsky District of Makhachkala on March 5, 2025. According to the NAC, during the special operation, four bandits were eliminated. They were planning a terrorist attack on the facility of the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the city of Kaspiysk.
