Security forces detained a 22-year-old native of the North Caucasus, suspected of financing terrorism (Part 1.1 of Article 205.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) in the Moscow region. He was arrested based on materials provided by the capital's FSB department. This was reported by the press service of the regional department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.

It has already been established that the defendant who lived in the Orekhovo-Zuevsky urban district of the Moscow region fr om May to August 2024 transferred funds to the accounts of a unit of a foreign terrorist organization banned in the Russian Federation, thereby directly assisting its members in committing terrorist attacks in Russia.

At present, the court sent the detainee to a pre-trial detention center wh ere he will await further procedural actions.
