In the Chechen Republic, a 30-year-old local woman was sentenced to six years in prison for complicity in the financing of terrorism. This was reported by the investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Chechen Republic in its Telegram channel.

“The investigation and the court found that in 2017 the defendant received a money transfer in foreign currency in a bank branch and, under a previously reached agreement with the person who made the transfer, transferred the funds further to a member of a foreign terrorist organisation, banned in Russia, who was located in one of the foreign countries,” – the post on the Telegram channel said.
