POLICE PREVENTS AN IED ATTACK IN INDIA

A possible terrorist attack has been thwarted in Indian Kashmir, NDTV News reports.

The incident took place in the Udampur district of Jammu and Kashmir. According to the police, materials looking like an improvised explosive device, weighing about 15 kg, were found. They were stored in a cylindrical object. Besides, 300-400 gram of Hexogen was found. In addition, seven 7.62-mm rounds of ammunition and five detonators as well as a piece of paper with coded characters and a blank page with the marks of a banned terrorist organization, were found at the scene, 

The police detained the suspect.
