Law enforcement officers in Tatarstan have thwarted illegal activity of a member of a terrorist organization banned in the Russian Federation. This was reported by the press service of the Republic of Tatarstan Regional Department of the Federal Security Service.

The woman was located in Kazan and was engaged in terrorist propaganda. She also perused prohibited literature and recruited people to partake in a banned terrorist organization.

The Investigative Department of the Republic of Tatarstan Regional Department of the Federal Security Service has opened a criminal investigation under the article "Organization of the activities of a terrorist organization and participation in the activities of such an organization." Operational search activities and investigative actions continue.
