The Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia in Kirov region is investigating a criminal case accusing a 43-year-old native of the Komi Republic of committing an offence under Part 2 of Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Public calls for terrorist activities committed using information and telecommunications networks”).

According to the investigation, the defendant, who was living in the Kirov region, published comments containing calls for terrorist activity on his page on one of the social media for an unlimited number of users to view between April 2021 and February 2024.

The suspect was detained. The court chose a preventive measure in the form of a ban on certain actions, the press service of the Kirov Line Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia on Transport reported.
