The First Western District Military Court sentenced Tajik citizen Bakhodur Zukhurov (listed as a terrorist and extremist by Rosfinmonitoring) to three years in prison for comments justifying the terrorist attack at the Crocus City Hall concert hall in a chat for delivery service workers.

The court found 27-year-old Zukhurov guilty of committing an offence under Part 2 of Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (public calls to terrorism and its justification). This article provides for imprisonment of five to seven years.

“He was sentenced to imprisonment for a term of 3 years to be served in a penal colony of general regime and will have no right to publicly post appeals and other materials on the Internet for a period of 2 years,” - reports the press-service of the State Investigation Department of the Investigation Committee for St. Petersburg.

According to the Joint Press Service of St. Petersburg courts, Zukhurov published text comments with justification of the terrorist attack in Crocus City Hall in Telegram messenger in the group titled “St. Petersburg communicating/Yandex food.”

Law enforcers promptly identified the attacker and detained him at his place of residence on 27 March 2024. On the same day he was charged. Zukhurov admitted his guilt and repented of his actions.
