Putin and Lukashenko discuss cooperation to counter terrorism

Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Belarusian counterpart Alexander Lukashenko spoke over the phone. During the conversation, the leaders discussed cooperation in the fight against terrorism.

According to the press secretary of the Russian head of state Dmitry Peskov, the parties also talked about the current issues related to such interaction, RIA Novosti reports.

Earlier Vladimir Putin thanked Lukashenko for the detention of about 580 kilograms of explosives on the border. The Russian president also asked his colleague to convey his gratitude to the specialists and experts who detained a 41-year-old man as he was trying to smuggle explosives into the Russian Federation.
