A terrorist attack has been prevented in Russian Izhevsk. According to the press service of the Udmurtia FSB department, the detained man was preparing an armed attack on one of the city's educational institutions. 

The detainee purchased components for an improvised explosive device with destructive elements and bottles with incendiary mixture. He also planned purchase of firearms. To justify his actions, the man wrote a “manifesto.” 

The FSB officers detained the suspect in time. He did not have time to fully implement his plans. Two kg of ammonium nitrate, three litres of diesel fuel, a litre of motor oil, a bottle with incendiary mixture were found and seized in his house. In addition, the law enforcement officers found instructions for making an improvised “bomb” and 50 mm nails long as striking elements. 

The man pleaded guilty. A criminal case has been launched under the article on preparation of a terrorist attack.
