Pakistani security forces eliminated 17 terrorists from Fitna al-Khawarij group in the north-west of the country. This was reported by the Associated Press of Pakistan on 31 March, citing a statement by the Minister of Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar.

The minister said the operation was carried out in Mardan District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province. The operation to eliminate the militants did not affect the civilian population, as the nearest village was more than six kilometres away from the site of the military operation.
