Terrorism related arrests increased by 655 per cent in the US

The number of detentions on terrorism charges in the United States has increased by 655% as a result of regular anti-migrant raids.

This was reported by the New York Post (NYP) newspaper with reference to data from the US Department of Homeland Security.

According to the publication, 219 people accused of terrorism have been detained in the country since the inauguration of US President Donald Trump.  Compared to the same period last year, there were only 29 such detentions.

Earlier it was reported that the administration of the new American leader plans to deport 1 million foreign migrants from the United States during the first year of his presidency. The newspaper indicated that, if the goal is achieved, the current authorities will exceed the previous maximum number of deportations in one year by 2.5 times.
