Police do not believe terrorism is behind Vancouver tragedy
Vancouver police do not believe the driver of a car that drove into a crowd at a Filipino community festival was a terrorist. He had mental issues.
The number of victims rose to 11, dozens of people were injured, in some cases seriously. This was reported by local police on April 27, specifying that they did not consider terrorism as the cause of the accident.
According to authorities, the 30-year-old driver of the car that drove into the crowd of people had mental health issues and had repeatedly “interacted with police.” He was detained by bystanders before police arrived. Investigations are ongoing.
