A citizen of Tajikistan, suspected of preparing a terrorist attack (he was planning to set fire to a cathedral) was detained in Barnaul. This was reported on April 28 by “Vechernyaya Moskva” with reference to Telegram-channel Baza.

It is reported that the detainee is 21-year-old P. Kurbonov, a citizen of Tajikistan with a Russian residence permit. According to the investigation, Kurbonov planned to set fire to the Intercession Cathedral on Nikitin Street in Barnaul.

A criminal case for preparation of a terrorist attack has been launched.
