Islamic State militants attacked a hunting camp in northern Mozambique, according to the Telegram channel Directorate 4.

About 40 jihadists stormed the Kambako Safaris camp in the province of Niassa, beheaded two guards and stole food and equipment prepared for the tourist season. Before leaving, the militants set fire to buildings, vehicles, and an airplane. The fire completely destroyed the camp.

In addition, terrorists attacked a Mozambican Armed Forces unit guarding the Mariri eco-center in the same province. Six soldiers were killed in the shootout.

IS propagandists noted that both attacks harmed Mozambique's tourism industry.
