The suppression of the terrorist organization Islamic State is one of the major achievements of the current Afghan authorities, said Afghanistan's Foreign Minister Amir Khan Mottaqi. This was reported by Tolo News.

According to him, stability in Afghanistan is in the interests of neighbouring, regional and global states.

He claims that Kabul has managed to eliminate the threats posed by IS terrorists and other insurgent elements, eliminate tribalism and drug cultivation, and fully eradicate administrative corruption over the past four years.

Earlier, Russian Special Representative for Afghanistan Zamir Kabulov said that Russia would help the Taliban fight terrorists of the IS-Khorasan group, which is affiliated with the Islamic State.
