Through joint efforts, the FSB, the Investigative Committee, and the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs successfully prevented a series of terrorist crimes that were being planned in the Stavropol Krai. 

As a result of the operation, nine local residents were detained, eight of whom are minors.

According to the FSB, the core of the group was formed around a teenager from the Andropov district, who joined a foreign terrorist organization via social media this year and then recruited eight others, including seven teenagers.

The agency emphasized that the criminals' plans included not just terrorist attacks, but also the recruitment of new supporters and public calls for terrorism. The timely intervention of law enforcement agencies prevented grave consequences. 

All those detained are currently in custody.
